Dear Horse,

A year has gone

But little has changed

We are still on this merry go-round

When does it end?

We're no closer to the Beginning or End

Caught in a Loop

How do we break this Loop?

Each time You race towards Me,

I brace up for the impact.

But You gallop in the other direction,

When I'm but a touch away.

Then I dash after You!

By God! I fight to catch You

But can a Dog ever out run a Horse?

You lead me on a wild Goose chase.

And when I stop to catch a breath,

You look back at me.

I could swear You want me for a Rider

Could I have misjudged that look?

But that Hunger in Your eyes,

When I come close with the apple

Even though fleeting

Dare you say I imagined it!

For a flying moment

I catch the sparks in Your eyes

Then the Connection scrambles,

And the Signal lost

If only You'd come closer

See for Yourself,

I hold no Whip.

I came to Love

If only You'd come closer

Let me have Your rein

Both Horse and Rider would become One,

Riding through the Darkest nights & days

Dear Horse,

This endless chase must end

For a new race to begin

The Connection we had or didn't remains special
