Days Like Spring
"Days Like Spring"
And some
days,
They
won't come.
Stuck in
my throat,
Locked
in my mind,
They
remain.
Days
like this;
Try as I
might,
Not
forthcoming.
Blankly
I look at the sheet
I hold
the pen,
But drawing
patterns instead.
I stare
at the screen,
But I am
seeing different.
I look
at the keyboard,
But my
fingers move away.
Can't
get words out.
I space
out.
Days
like this,
I turn
up the volume.
The
rhythm, beats and I,
Becomes
one.
I turn
down the sheets.
Suddenly
pillow thoughts,
Becomes
my salvation.
Like
spring, first it's grey.
Then the
heavens let loose.
And here
they come,
Flowing
like open floodgate.
And flow
they do.
Tell me
who can,
Stop the
heavens from opening up.
It's
beyond me, as it is you.
All I
know, what I know.
Like
many others,
I am a
vessel.
Through which spring flows.
